Bring-en-Braai is an event that can range between the size of just a backyard barbeque, to a large Straatbraai (similar to a block party). The purpose of the event is that guests bring their own food and drinks pre-prepared (with the exception of the meat).



Boerewors a type of sausage which originated in South Africa, is an important part of South African cuisine and is popular across Southern Africa. The name is derived from the Afrikaans/Dutch words boer and worst. Boerewors must contain at least 90 percent meat, and always contain beef, as well as lamb, pork, or a mixture of lamb and pork



Biltong is a form of dried, cured meat that originated in Southern African countries. Various types of meat are used to produce it, ranging from beef and game meats to fillets of meat cut into strips following the grain of the muscle, or flat pieces sliced across the grain



The culture of South Africa is known for its ethnic and cultural diversity. The South African majority still has a substantial number of rural inhabitants who lead largely impoverished lives
